Monica Lyon: Director of ASD.  Monica has been the Director for the last 21 years.  Her dance training started in Belleville as a child and continued at Seneca College where she graduated with Honours from the Gymnastics Coaching Techniques program.  Monica is a certified Associate member of the CDTA in the Stage division Jazz & Tap, Acrobatics Arts Level 2 and Level 3 with NCCP in Artistic Gymnastics, Level 1 Trampoline.

Sarah Chandler:   Sarah has been with ASD for 33 of its 34 years.  As a dancer she successfully completed her CDTA exams and completed the 3 year Dance Teachers Club of Boston summer program.  Sarah is also a CDTA Full Member in the Stage division Jazz.  .  Sarah teaches our Competitive  Jazz dancers & oversees our CDTA exam program.

Lisa Godin: Lisa was a member of the ASD competitive team and successfully completed her  CDTA exams.  After high school she attended the University of Ottawa and graduated with a degree in Commerce specializing in Accounting.  Lisa works full time in Ottawa but still makes time to instill her passion and talent for dance to her dancers.  Lisa  is continuing her own dance education, working towards her Ballet certification with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association.

Tara Sabourin: Tara began dance at the Arnprior School of Dance and a few years later moved to Ottawa.  Tara has competed across Canada and the United States.  Tara also studied at the Kanata Ballet School and the Quinte Ballet School of Canada.  Tara graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at York University.  While living in Toronto she taught and was a part of several companies and performances in the city and the surrounding areas.  Tara teaches full time music & dance for the local school board and we are happy she is back at the Arnprior School of Dance.

Calley Mosley: Calley started dancing at ASD where she successfully completed her CDTA exams and returned to us upon her graduation from college.  Calley runs our hip hop programs, both recreational and competitive.  Calley is a school teacher for our local school board.  Her competitive experience in hip hop as well as her educational training makes her a wonderful addition to our teaching staff.

Chelsea Turpin:  Chelsea started her dance career with ASD successfully completing her CDTA exams.  Chelsea went to Nipissing University and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Education and is currently employed as a teacher in Arnprior.  Chelsea teaches our recreational Lyrical and Ballet programs as well as our Mini Ballet competitive programs.

Eve Chase:  Eve is a graduate of the Musical Theatre program at Sheridan college.  She has performed in musical and review shows throughout Ontario as well as the US and Switzerland.  Eve is excited to be teaching our musical theatre program in both the competitive and recreational levels as well as hip hop, & Jazz.  Eve is also a local kindergarten & Zumba teacher.

Taryn Peardon: Originally from Calgary, Taryn began studying music and dance at a young age, training in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre, and competing with Elite Dance Academy and The Alberta Dance Academy. After graduating from The Alberta High School of Fine Arts she received a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance while continuing to perform as a dancer and musician with various local companies in the Lethbridge and Calgary areas. Performance highlights include show choir tours to Costa Rica and China.

Taryn has always had a passion for teaching and has over 20 years of experience as a teacher and choreographer. She is certified with Acrobatic Arts (AAC1) and Alixa Flexibility (Modules 1 and 2) and specializes in teaching preschool aged students, holding a certification with Acrobatic Arts AcroDance Preschool. Taryn is currently a Pre-Associate with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, preparing to take her Licentiate Exams for Jazz, Tap, and Ballet in 2022.

Taryn moved to Arnprior in 2019 and is looking forward to teaching in her new hometown. When not at the dance studio she can be found at the golf course or relaxing at home with her husband and two cats.

Abigail Welbanks-Virgin: Abby has been a member of ASD since the age of 3 and joined the competitive team at the age of 7. Abby is currently attending ADHS in grade 12 with aspirations of being an Art and English teacher. Abby competes in lyrical, jazz, ballet and tap and is working towards her elementary jazz & grade 4 ballet and tap CDTA accreditations. Abby is looking forward to teaching rec. tap and jazz. After many years of being an assistant she is ready and excited to join the ASD teaching team.
