Monica Tracey: Monica has been the Director for the last 24 years. Her dance training started in Belleville as a child and continued at Seneca College where she graduated with Honours from the Gymnastics Coaching Techniques program. Monica is a certified Associate member of the CDTA in the Stage division Jazz & Tap, Acrobatics Arts Level 2 and Level 3 with NCCP in Artistic Gymnastics, Level 2 Trampoline. Monica has a well-earned reputation for her high quality teaching and award winning choreography . Monica supports local community groups and theatre companies by lending her talents. Monica is extremely proud of her many students who have gone on to careers on the stage and screen and as teachers themselves.
Sarah Chandler: Sarah has been with ASD for 37 of its 38 years. As a dancer she successfully completed her CDTA exams and completed the 3 year Dance Teachers Club of Boston summer program and a CDTA Full Member in the Stage division Jazz. . Sarah is well known for her award winning Jazz choreography and Honours with distinction results for her students
Lisa Godin: Lisa was a student member of the ASD competitive team and successfully completed her CDTA exams. After high school she attended the University of Ottawa and graduated with a degree in Commerce specializing in Accounting. Lisa shares her passion for Ballet and Lyrical with her dancers and they continue to impress judges with their posture, grace and confidence.
Tara Sabourin: Tara began dance at the Arnprior School of Dance, then studied at the Kanata Ballet School and the Quinte Ballet School of Canada. While attaining her Honours Bachelor of fine Arts in Dace at York University, Tara performed with several professional companies. Tara is a full time school teacher specializing in dance and music education, and we are so happy to have her share her extensive dance knowledge with our students. Tara’s choreography has been recognized for her creativity and originality.
Calley Mosley: Calley started dancing at ASD where she successfully completed her CDTA exams and returned to us upon her graduation from Teachers College. Calley’s competitive experience as an award winning hip hop dancer and chorographer makes her a wonderful addition to our teaching staff. Calley has added Yoga instructor to her long list of teaching accomplishments.
Chelsea Turpin: Chelsea started her dance career with ASD successfully completing her CDTA exams. Chelsea went to Nipissing University and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Education specializing in child development and movement. Chelsea uses her experience in multiple dance disciplines to help her students strive for their best efforts.
Eve Chase: Eve is a graduate of the Musical Theatre program at Sheridan college and has performed in musical and review shows throughout Ontario as well as the US and Switzerland. Eve’s extensive experience both as a choreographer, performer, Zumba instructor and a school teacher makes her an excellent addition to our teacher staff. Eve’s students have won many top performance awards.
